Martina is the visionary Founder and CEO of the Indigenous Road Safety Academy (IRSA), a pioneering 100% Aboriginalowned organisation dedicated to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Her mission through IRSA is to reduce incarceration and recidivism and roadrelated injuries and fatalities while fostering employment opportunities and enhancing knowledge about vehicle finance, maintenance and insurance.


In addition to leading IRSA, Martina serves as the Principal Consultant at Stapleton Indigenous Solutions (SIS), a 100% Aboriginal-owned consultancy. At SIS, she crafts culturally sensitive business solutions and mentoring services for a diverse client base across various sectors, reflecting her deep commitment to tailored and effective advocacy.


With over 18 years of seasoned expertise in social justice and human rights, Martina specialises in
providing personalised legal referral services, connecting clients with leading Australian solicitors
and barristers for criminal law matters. She is also a staunch advocate for prison reform and offers
specialised referral services for victims of institutional child sexual abuse.
Martina’s broad expertise spans Indigenous empowerment and cross-cultural collaboration.
As a respected Larrakia/Warai traditional owner from the Northern Territory, she utilizes her
profound knowledge and passion to drive significant positive change within her communities. Her
leadership extends to training and mentoring, managing diverse legal teams and building robust
community relationships at all levels.


She is a Director on Carer’s Northern Territory, The EM-power Foundation and Women in
Transport.


A recognised leader known for her resilience and ability to thrive in challenging situations,
Martina consistently delivers superior outcomes. Her exceptional contributions to community
services, the legal profession, and Indigenous rights were honoured in 2019 when she received
the Attorney General's prestigious Trevor Christian Memorial Award from the National Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services (NATSILS).
